A G-SPEC shoots decently far out of the box and is very quiet, but as with all Japanese rifles the spring is weak. Opening a TM cylinder to replace the spring requires drilling a hole in the cylinder and this may not be something you want to do. So if you want it to shoot more than 280 fps out of the box the BAR-10 is probably a better choice.

Upgrades. I want to get a VSR-10 to upgrade. I have three choices. I can buy a Well MB 03 for $170 Cad from a local store. I can order a JG Bar-10 [with a scope I don't need] online for $250 Cad. So I have a JG BAR 10 g spec and am looking to upgrade to a higher quality inner barrel. The problem I am running into is weather I should go with a 303mm barrel (stock length) or a 503mm barrel (in order to make this fit I would need to drill out the suppressor and run the inner barrel through it)? 1106 posts · Joined 2014. #7 · Feb 17, 2015.
